    Habrobracon hebetor

    Description:
    The adults are 0.3 inches long and winged. Egg to adult in 9 to 10 days at 30 degrees Celcius. Adult female longevity is about 23 days. The female produces about 100 eggs. It is a parasite of common grain moth larvae, such as the Indian meal moth and the almond moth. The female Bracon paralyzes the moth larva and lays eggs on or near it. An average of eight Bracon larvae develop on each host. Test results indicate that it could be a useful biological control agent.
