Description:
|
• The dorsal pronotum is taking on characteristics of the dorsum of the next most posterior segment, the mesothorax [T2]. In its strongest expression, the anterior margin of the pronotum has a large midline indentation, and the posterior midline is beginning to look like the T2 scutellum [the little roundly triangular structure just posterior to the pronotum].
